THE SPECIAL DAY, the birthday

                 It is said that those who are born in January are the most funniest, people aspire to be like them,they shoulder burden alone and so on.. being a Capricon i had to dug up few of these online. The myth of birthdays are very interesting. superstitions about birthdays continue to abound around the world, with their attendant ideas of luck and forecasting the year ahead. in the old roman days, it is said that you need to appease your 'genius' with birthday gifts. Back in the days, 'genius' have a different meaning. a  genius is like a personal god or like a guardian angel. So they had to be respected and particularly on birthdays..i was always fascinated on how people determine the future through stars and planets.so, in the ancient greece, the signs of the greek zodiac were identified with twelve group of stars which we can see in the night sky at different times of the year. As they were also associated with one of the elements -Earth,Air,Fire,Water and behind each of them lies amazing stories. The word Zodiac means ' the circle of animals' referring to all living creatures. 

             

        I was born on Jan 14th and that was the day my gave birth to the third child in the family.Being the youngest had no perks as i would say..because in Indian household every child is the same and only comes with more responsibilities..my family is a religious family, thus we do not celebrate birthdays like others so i only received the feeling of greatness from my friends who considered the day to be mine and i was considered special. My friends celebrated the day with cakes, colors, and pranks too..gone are those days..we've grown into ladies, but if given a chance we are more than happy to have those days again. 

Birthday's are great for those who do not have exciting days in their life and those who do not have much friends. Giving the day to yourself and celebrating your existence may help you find some joys in this life, after all this life is only minimal and we shall live life to the fullest. through celebrating I've seen people gaining friends and breaking all those barriers that people keep to keep themselves inside a shell. Without socializing i don't think humans can live in this world happily unless we are self absorbed and living a in a different realm. Creating a world of happiness lies in our own hands and i think that comes from within. I believe 'happy birthday' should be a happy thing and bring joy to our lives. Wish others on their birthday because we never know what the person is going through just because he/she is lonely in his/her life. Maybe our one wish shall change the way they think and begin to think differently about their life.
